Introduced at the University of Franche-Comté (1997), formalised in Dr. El Abed’s doctoral thesis (2001) on semantic meta-modelling and multilingual natural-language querying of databases.

Open technical dictionary. Standard for the unambiguous definition of technical terms, eliminating ambiguity in data exchanges.

Exchange of quality identifiers: syntactic, semantic and resolution requirements. Standard for formatting and resolving identifiers using ISO 22745.
Application of ISO 8000-115 to natural location identifiers. Guarantees uniqueness and traceability of geographic references in data.
Prefix name server. Guarantees the uniqueness and resolution of data identifiers on a global scale.
Technical specification registry. Centralises and normalises technical specifications for systems interoperability.
Standard business excellence requirement. Defines minimum requirements for data quality and excellence in business processes.
Data governance policy registry. Centralises governance policies to ensure compliance and consistency of practices.
Language resource management — Part 5: Lexico-morpho-syntactic principles and methodology for personal data recognition and protection in text (GDPR compliance).
